Usually, Mr. Sandeen tends to ignore comments made to his posts on that site. For a while, they were supporting his usual heavy handed censorship, but something changed. It appears that they decided that pretty much anything goes. A few commenters have actually, and quite accurately, referred to him using male pronouns without being banned. Now it appears that Mr. Sandeen decided to take advantage of this in order to, shall we say, "fight back."
The problem, of course, is that Mr. Sandeen wants to be the "transgender MLK." He regularly, including in this week's article, tries to make that connection, and of course, winds up making a mockery of Dr. King and his philosophy. But in order to maintain his "facade" he has to avoid showing his true nature as much as possible. So, apparently, Mr. Sandeen brings in support. That, or he has more than a few sock puppets.
Oh, and a couple of other points that should be addressed. Sandeen tries to claim that I am obsessed with him. Actually, he posts more than most, so he gets written about more than most. Of course, Suzan Cooke has made the same claim... And Sandeen has commented about the difference in word counts between me and him, as well as the number of comments I posted. I simply responded to every bit of silliness thrown at me. I have no doubt that had I ignored even one of them, the claim would be made that I was "bested."
One of those he called upon, is Mr. "Cristan" Williams, who repeated the outrageous claim made on Transadvocate that Janice Raymond is responsible for at least 50,000 deaths. That article was written by Zoe Brain, who is infamous for claiming that he spontaneously, without medical intervention changed from a male to a female. A rather insane claim, to say the least. Mr. Williams seemed to be trying to argue that the "radfems" have to be beaten into submission to prevent further deaths, or something like that.. Here is part of my response to his comment:
I could be wrong, but the whole mess that resulted from one comment had the feel of a very organized effort. I suspect Sandeen invited some people (he has already done that on a smaller scale) hoping to bury me in comments. Didn't quite work very well for him.... As it was, he pulled just about every trick in the book... I imagine he thought I would whither in the face of a massive load of absurd rhetoric. When that did not work, the insults started. As I have pointed out, my identity is quite secure thank you. Repeating lies started by a cyberstalker is not going to scare me off. Anyone I care about, knows better, and anyone who believes that crap...well, I could care less.
Of course, the hilarity continues.... Sandeen was having a hissy fit on Twitter...and she brought in some old faces...
And a new face....who has some incredibly stupid things to say....
So, let's see....
If they can't refute an argument.....
They will try to bury you in comments....
If that doesn't work.....
They resort to insults....
And when that fails.....
They call you a troll.
Yes, such is the classic transgender approach to reality.
Update: And then they resort to word count flames...
Yeah, go figure...Sandeen is now comparing the number of words I have posted, versus the number he has posted. Hmmm, doesn't he know, women tend to be more verbal than men. Perhaps he might take that into consideration! Well, in any case, he can update his word count, and whine even more.... ROTFL!
Update: It appears that Sandeen went a bit too far. This morning, he had posted two more comments on his post, basically postings of two tweet he had made, which were attacks on me, and which mentioned me by name (which I prefer to keep private). I responded, and pointed out that he has a habit of attempting to out women against their will. Both posts, and my responses were removed afterwards. I kind of wonder if Sandeen did it, to cover his tracks, of if the people at LGBT Weekly didn't like his behavior. Most curious....

Now, beyond that, we slip the bounds of reality, and well….I love a good conspiracy theory….but this not one. I mean, really….this bit of histrionics, which is a recent invention of Williams, and a certain person from Australia who claims to have “spontaneously” changed from a man to a woman (seriously folks, I am NOT making this up) is quite hysterically funny. Funny, I never once encountered this force reparative therapy, nor have I ever heard of such an effort. Perhaps it was super, duper top secret and known only to the secret lesbian separatist cabal…. Known racists? Funny, but since the 1950′s, transsexuals have been accessing medical care without that much trouble. I know when I started in the early 1990′s, I had no trouble at all, and I was in the Deep South (any deeper, and you would be in way over your head). Yeah, I suppose it is possible that a group of extremists might have advocated legislating “trans folk” out of existence. I remember a lot of radical groups that have advocated a lot of laughable ideas. Let’s see, at one time or the other, I have heard of groups who want to give the country back to Native Americans, of a group that wanted to force all white people out of the states that formed the Confederacy and create an exclusively African-American nation, of people who want to ban the consumption of meat, of people who want to execute anyone who is gay, that men should be allowed to invade women’s shower and locker rooms and that women should accept then as “women with penises”…the list could go on, and on. For the most part, sane, rational people learn about such ideas, recognize them for what they are…the rants of crackpots, hope the person does not become violent (like the guy who got it in his head that there is a black market in human body parts and then possibly sent ricin laced letters to a senator and Obama) and get on with our lives. Oh, we might speak up if the person gets a bit of attention, but we generally seem them as the kooks that they are.
Anyway, thanks for a good laugh….I guess Mr. Williams had no answer to reality, as his next response was to fall back on an argumentum ad hominem, the logical fallacy of attacking the person and not their position. That is Mr. Williams' standard practice when he cannot defend a position (which is not at all uncommon).

Monica Roberts Truth be told, I pretty much stopped reading Mr. "Monica" Roberts crap because I realized it was a bad combination of Ebonics, racism, and pretty much the same rants repeated over, and over, and over, and over....occasionally punctuated with his self-aggrandizement about some award he got. In short. BORING!@AutumnSandeen@cristanwilliams She was hatin' on me for a while until she discovered I don't play with pseudo cisprivilege chasing fools
And a new face....who has some incredibly stupid things to say....
J. Skyler @AutumnSandeen @transgriot Im sure she was the one on Wired's interview w/ @GailSimone on Batgirl saying "transgender" is a slur.Nope, not me. I hadn't seen the article, and when I took a quick look, and saw the number of comments, I lost interest quickly. But yeah, Mr. Sandeen is quite correct. I do agree. I, personally, would consider it a slur if applied to me. For those who identify that way, no. Of course, the subtlety of that is lost on fools like Mr. Sandeen, and company. Then there was this particular bit of cluelessness...
J. Skyler @Oh dear, I forgot to ask the gender fascists for permission before "identifying." Actually, it has nothing to do with identity. My gender matches my physical sex, so, according to the definition, I am cisgender. Of course, the same, technically, could be said of Mr. Sandeen, and Mr. Roberts, among others. They are clearly male, and clearly men. So, by definition, they would be "cisgender" as well. I do, by the way, I think this J. Skyler person is more than a bit cisphobic.
@AutumnSandeen @gailsimone @transgriot also misidentifying as cisgender knowing that's not the intended use of the term, which is hysterical
J. Skyler @jskylerincFor those who don't speak "tranny" that means I don't believe women have penises and want to keep them. Now, I suppose that "pretending" would be pretty accurate, but I would not call most "deviants." I reserve that term for specific cases, like the guy who was exposing his junk to young girls. But Mr. Sandeen came back just as cluelessly...
@GailSimone @autumnsandeen @transgriot she's a surgical essentialist who thinks anyone who doesn't undergo surgery is pretending/deviant.
Autumn SandeenNope, it has nothing to do with "ideology," pure, or otherwise....
@jskylerinc @GailSimone @TransGriot It's more than that. She even gets on post-SRS folk who she deems to not be ideologically pure.
Autumn Sandeen @transgriot @cristanwilliams I've feed the troll too many times, I fear.Actually, except for occasionally cyberstalking me, Sandeen has pretty much avoided responding to my posts. I guess being humiliated as much as he has been will do that to a fellow.
So, let's see....
If they can't refute an argument.....
They will try to bury you in comments....
If that doesn't work.....

You wonder why the Radfems are fighting back against the kooks in the Trans community.
No, i don't wonder at all....
Just look at the kooks in the Trans community, they get stranger and more radical by the minute. Even some in places such as Huffington post and on twitter. The TEE-GEE, penis bearing crowd get's more radical.
Even sites like GallusMag have reported some kooks in the trans community have gone from being kooks to violent extremist. Which is why Most radical feminist, women, lesbian and Intersex people don't want to do anything with the Trans community.
Unfortunately, there are some on the Left who are more than willing to pander to them. And the more they are pandered to, the more they think they can get away with. And the more they think they can get away with, the more harm they do. Just look at the situation in Arizona. While I appreciate the desire behind the bill, to protect women, it came close to going too far. It would have hurt true transsexuals. The TG crowd doesn't want people to see the difference, and that, unfortunately, can result in our being painted with a very broad brush.
And yes, there is a marked increase in the use of violent language by the trans kooks. As well as some absurd claims, like the one about Janice Raymond causing 50,000 deaths. Obviously, false, but claimed none the less.
Have you notice the uptick in violent rhetoric the Trans kooks and the genderqueer are committing these days. It's bordering on terrorism and the way they are talking about bio natural born women, lesbian and Intersex people. It borders on extremist violence to near a terrorism. It seems like the Trans kooks are ratcheting up the violent rhetoric and going from name calling people who disagree with the fallacy. To outright threatening people, stalking, harassing, bullying and calling for their death. I have seen the violent rhetoric from News sites such as Huffington post, Twitter, Youtube, Facebook and even on blogs. It seems that the Transgender kooks are ratcheting up the rhetoric to a level of violence and maybe to physical violence. Which is why as an Intersex person, I am way past my Peak Trans with them and now at disgusted level at their actions.
Every san dige gay paper has its token tranny. Even the papers now shuttered like the Gay and Lesbian times and Update (the longest lasting of them all) had a token tranny in its vice president who according to a friend who worked there was abusive and spent most of his time looking at the tranny porn instead of providing good content for the other 3 publications the company published.
The friend who worked there went on medical leave late in 2003 and returned post op, that is when the abuse began. The VP even admitted to this person that he was jealous because she was a goal orientated woman and always seemed to get what she sought out for. My friend put up with his crap for another 2 years then gave notice and quit and moved out of the state to get on with her life.
This just shows how fucked up these trannys are. My friend could have sued but didn't she felt that that tranny would get what was coming to him and he did.
More to the point, I have met Sandeen and this person is not in touch with reality, I hope the paper he is working for now isn't paying him very much for his ramblings.
Anne
Well, Nicky, such is typical of extremists, period. If they don't get their way, they get violent. If they think they are getting their way, and someone speaks up, they get violent. They just don't take set backs well. The TG crowd is starting to see the coming backlash, as well as meeting resistance from places they think should be on their side, and they aren't taking it well at all....
Yes, here in San Francisco, it is Gwendolyn Smith.
And I am sorry for what your friend went through.
I have never met Sandeen...thankfully, but I have to say, his lack of a grasp on reality is pretty obvious. A very strange person, to say the least. I have seen him in videos, and he strikes me as quite a kook, acting as a bad caricature of a rather misogynistic parody of a woman. He appears to dress in a rather silly fashion, and apparently has a hat fetish of some sort. Very strange....
And I don't think he is actually paid... In fact, given that he claims total disability, it would be suspicious if he is. Of course, that claim (he made it recently on Twitter) seems odd, in light of his rather busy life as an activist.
It's a numbers game.
1 in 300 versus 1 in 5000 at absolute most. Furthermore the former group is louder, more obnoxious, and more organized while the latter group wants to be quiet and disappear into the quiet of assimilation. This is Germany versus Poland or Texas versus Rice. It's just not a fair fight.
Honestly what needs to happen is that transsexuality as a formal medical category is abolished and replaced with "neurological intersexuality" as opposed to "physical intersexuality". We know that transsexuality stems from a brain structure that differs from birth sex, so it certainly qualifies, and the methods of correction tend to be similar as well once the neurological sex is determined.
Exactly, Rosencruz... And what you suggest is actually what Harry Benjamin Syndrome was all about...at least the group I was associated with. There were actually two different movements, one in Europe, which preferred "Harry Benjamin's Syndrome," and one in the US which used the correct, Harry Benjamin Syndrome. When you name something for someone, it is not proper to use a possessive. They, usually, did not have the disease, and they certainly don't "own" it. But that was the general idea...to differentiate it from the mess the TG crowd was starting to make, and to advance the idea that it was a form of neurological intersected condition. So, naturally the TG crowd went ballistic...
See, the idea is that transsexuals do need an umbrella - the numbers are too small otherwise. Just not the TG one. The needs and of transsexuals and intersex do have some overlap so there is a basis for a workable alliance.
That is an interesting idea... Unfortunately, some who are intersex have become politicized as well. What we don't need is politicalization. Politics and medicine really should not be mixed. Unfortunately, it does happen. It is one thing to speak up, and point out bad practices and such, but when a medical condition becomes mired in identity politics, things can just get silly. For example, some people who are deaf have actually been attacked for seeking treatments that can allow them to hear. They are portrayed as traitors to their "own kind." While I would respect someone right to choose to reject such treatment, I don't think it has gotten out of hand. Of course, some transgender consider those who seek surgery to also be "traitors." But in that case, it is not as though there is actually a common experience.
So how bad will the level of Violent rhetoric the Trans community get before it stops. Will it gets worse before the onslaught of the backlash from Women, Lesbian, radical feminist and Intersex people. Where do you see the backlash will come from and how bad will it be.
That is a very good question. I don't know how much of the backlash will come from the radical feminists and intersex groups, but we are seeing more and more of it in the real world. The attempted Arizona law is one example. The case where a supermarket gave a TG person a trespassing notice is another. The blocking of a law in Maryland...and such are also good examples. People are starting to wake up, and it could get very interesting....
So Jennifer, when do you predict, you will see a massive backlash on the Trans community. How massive will the backlash be and what do you think the fallout of the backlash of the trans community will look like. With what's going on with the Trans community nowadays, will it fuel a massive backlash and cause the transgender kooks such as Mr. "Cristan" Williams,Mr. "Autumn" Sandeen and Zoe Allen Brain to collapse under their own weight of fallacy. Do you think that people will finally wake up and see what the transgender kooks are really all about.
Those are good questions, but to be honest, I have no idea about specifics. We are seeing a backlash, which is really not surprising, given the recent attempts to push outrageous demands. It hasn't been that long ago, that the "official TG line was, "We just want to pee in peace..." They emphasized how unlikely it was that some woman, or worse, a young girl, would be exposed to some guy's penis in a ladies room. Now, they are pretty much demanding that non-ops (including the all too common perpetual pre-ops) be allowed full access to things like showers and locker rooms, and that women just accept that some "women" have penises, and that we "should just get over it." Now, you can imagine how well that is going over in some quarters.
Yes, I think people are starting to see things for what they are. Shoot, even here in San Francisco, which has always been on the cutting edge of "TG freedoms," they drew the line at "inevitable nudity," and as far as I am aware, that line still holds. Interestingly enough, it is other places that have gone a bit too far. Simply put, eventually, normal people will say "ENOUGH!"
People can buy "some women used to have penises but it was a mistake and now they have a vagina just like any woman".
Even a 5 year old can comprehend that.
But throw in the "some women have penises and they want to keep them?" Cue eye rolling.
Also a note on intersex, some, probably exclusively type VI transsexuals, have such elevated estrogen levels that they're effectively intersex even if their genitals aren't ambiguous.
So eventually, you'll start to see a massive backlash from society and people saying "Enough". When will we see the backlash and when will we say the day when Trans is kicked out of the Gay, lesbian and bisexual community. Do you think people will wise up to the games the Transgender kooks are playing to people.
Yes, the idea that a woman would have a penis, and want to keep it is too much for most. Reality is not the transgender kook's friend.
The relationship between the LGB and the T has always been shaky, at best. The HRC stands ready to throw them under the bus. A lot of gay men blanch at the idea of SRS (but so do men in general, including the vast majority of TG types), but the TG crowd need transsexuals as a shield. it is only by implying that they are really "transsexuals" that they have any hope of succeeding. And they clearly are not.
Tell me about it, I lost my lunch the first day I read about what happens during the SRS procedure and I was squeezing my legs together for a few hours.
No male wants to lose his cannon or the cannonballs.
It is interesting that you should mention that. Early on in my transition, a friend of mine, who was also a transsexual, brought over a film that was popular at that time called "Shocking Asia." It showed a surgeon in Thailand who was performing SRS on a patient, while another did a breast augmentation. The SRS part did not bother me at all. I won't go into the details, but suffice to say, it was so graphic it would have sent any man running from the room. I was fascinated. Then they showed the procedure for the breast augmentation. The doctor took an L-shaped instrument and proceeded, rather forcefully, to enlarge the area where the implant would go. I was horrified...that was a rather sensitive area at the time, and it just looked horribly painful.
It's also interesting how many transgender kooks who like to use the intersex as a red herring or pawns to advance their own ideology or agenda. It just seems like they are becoming more violent, which is bordering on extremist to near terrorism levels.
Just look the recent news of them shutting down a Radfem conference and this one from Gallusmag http://gendertrender.wordpress.com/2013/04/22/lawrence-university-invokes-shocking-last-minute-ban-on-earth-day-keynote-speaker-lierre-keith-due-to-her-feminist-views-on-gender/
What's clear, is that the Trans community is getting more bolder, more violent and more extremist. It's getting to the Point where the Backlash will happen at anytime. I just think were starting to see the backlash and it's snowballing down hill to the point where it's huge train wreck in the end.
Where do you see the downfall of the Trans community and what will cause their downfall.
Unfortinately this was accidently deleted instead of approved.
Writer@Large has left a new comment on your post "Reality versus Fantasy...":
Jennifer, earlier in this comments thread you drew a distinction between transgender and "true transsexuals". I'm new to a lot of the lingo in this debate, so I just wanted to ask: are you using that in the sense that Dr. Benjamin did in his writings? Or is there a more modern use of the term?
In reply to Writer@Large....
Benjamin's book was published in 1966. We have learned a lot since then. I do wonder what he would have to say about today's transgender extremists like Sandeen.
