The Stalking of GallusMag

One of the blogs I regularly read is Gendertrender.  It is edited by a person who goes by the pseudonym of "GallusMag" which was the nickname of a 6-foot-tall female bouncer at a New York City Water Street bar called The Hole in the Wall in the early 19th century, who figures prominently in New York City folklore.  Her real name is not known

Herbert Asbury, in his book The Gangs of New York wrote:

"It was her custom, after she’d felled an obstreperous customer with her club, to clutch his ear between her teeth and so drag him to the door, amid the frenzied cheers of the onlookers. If her victim protested she bit his ear off, and having cast the fellow into the street she carefully deposited the detached member in a jar of alcohol behind the bar…. She was one of the most feared denizens on the waterfront and the police of the period shudderingly described her as the most savage female they’d ever encountered."

The modern day GallusMag, who's real name is also unknown, is a radical feminist who is giving the transgender kooks fits because she regularly exposes some of their sillier moments.  On her blog, she writes about many of the same issues that I cover here.  And because she has done so well at it, her real name is highly sought after by the nastier of the transgender extremists, especially Mr. "Cristan" Williams, who has a long history of attempting to harass anyone who dares disagree with his extremist views.

Recently, Mr. Williams, among others, thought they had reached their goal.  He even bragged about it on Twitter. 

GallusMag was supposedly identified as a particular woman, who I will not name, but once again, a denial was quickly issued.  Ironically, Mr. "Autumn" Sandeen, Mr. William's faithful lapdog, published the claim that this time they had GallusMag, for sure, including the claim that no denial had been made, thus proving that this was the one, true name of their sworn enemy.  Of course, facts are not really the friend of kooks like Mr. Sandeen and Mr. Williams.

The sad thing is, this sort of behavior is common among the transgender kooks.  GallusMag, contrary to Mr. Sandeen's claims, does not "doxx" transgender men. No, I am not going to use Mr. Sandeen's term, and refer to them as "trans women," because, quite frankly, the people GallusMag tends to expose are most assuredly not women.

I don't agree with everything that GallusMag says, and I am sure we would have much to disagree about, but I do respect her right to both freedom of speech, and privacy.  In his article, Mr. Sandeen, who likes to style himself as the transgender "Martin Luther King, Jr." goes into a spiel about how no one should threaten violence against GallusMag.  Perhaps he is sincere, or perhaps he is hoping to be ignored.  I do know that such threats are a regular tactic by some of the nastier of the men-in-dresses crowd.

Nevertheless, this sort of behavior is nothing short of sick.  Posting the name of someone who wishes to remain private is inexcusable.  Some, like Mr. Sandeen are extremist in their believe that everyone should be "out, loud, and proud," to the point that Mr. Sandeen has zero respect for privacy rights.  Of course, Mr. Sandeen has no real desire to be a woman, and certainly not female.  He just wishes to force people to accept his false claims, and pretend he is both.  And he wants to force his rather bizarre situation on others.

It Is Really Getting Out of Hand

You know, up to a point, one can almost laugh at the silliness of the transgender kooks.  They flounce around, claiming to be women, when they clearly are not.  But it ceases to be funny when they start encroaching on the security of others.  It is bad enough that they believe they have an absolute entitlement to invade women's spaces, even those involving nudity, while waving their penises….excuse me, their big old "neoclits" in the women's faces. It gets worse when they think they have the right to expose themselves in front of young girls, as was he case with  "Colleen" Francis.  But more and more, they openly threaten actual violence against anyone who dares even disagree with their insane demands.

Now, obviously what you have here is the classic, "over the top rhetoric of blaming someone for violence, simply because the don't "approve" of you. I am not aware of a single case of any of these women that Mr. Ottowell has such vitriol for ever committing a single act of violence. In fact, they have pointed out that the violence is committed by men.

In another bit display of male arrogance, Mr. "Autumn" Sandeen has apparently offered money (could it really be $10,000?) to anyone who will supply him with the identity of the person who posts as Gallus Mag. Seriously….

Now, Mr. Sandeen can't quite seem to grasp why this might be upsetting. Apparently, after a bit of research, it turns out that not only is Mr. Sandeen involved, but, not surprisingly, so is über kook Mr. "Dana Lane" Taylor. While they might only be hoping to embarrass and humiliate said person (uh, yeah…sure) even that is over the top. I have been on the receiving end of Mr. Sandeen's harassment, and I know he is supposed to be the person who blackmailed one blogger into leaving the Internet. This sort of thing is just sick.

I clearly do not agree with the goals of the "transgender" extremists, and I am not shy about stating that. I have been harassed more than once by them.

You Really Should Read This Article!

As I have said a number of times, I tend to be very moderate in my views.  I don't care for extremism, which is very common in the discussion of transgender issues.  I don't care for the idea that simply saying one is a woman (putting on a dress being sort of optional) makes it so, and allows one to invade women's spaces.  I don't care for the extremism of some radical feminists, who would deny the reality of transsexualism.  

It is rare to find a truly balanced and fair discussion of the subject.  But, an article on a web site with the rather amusing title of "The Lesbian Mafia" offers just that.  It deals with the issue of Don Ennis' transition and detransition, and it raises questions that it would be interesting to see kooks like "Autumn" Sandeen, "Cristan" Williams, and "Dana" Taylor actually respond to.  Not the usual shrill cries of "transphobia" but actually deal with honestly, and logically.  I am neither lesbian, or Mafia, but it is a great piece.

I Know Mr. "Cristan" Williams Is a Liar, But He Really Came Up With a Whopper!

It is no secret that Mr. "Cristan" lies like a cheap rug, but his latest really pushes the limits.  In a comment on the blog of Mr. "Dana" Taylor, a man who thinks lesbians should be forced to have sex with "trans women" (i.e. men) Mr. Williams said this....

But then again, JJ is someone who admitted that she felt better after beating women – and then tried to pass off that bit of her personality as if it was someone normal trans people deal with.

HUH?!?!?!?

I mean. I know he has no qualms about twisting facts, using logical fallacies, intellectual dishonesty, and bullying to win arguments, not to mention outright lying, but this is a new low, even for him.  I have already pointed out that he has tried to twist what my daughter said, and make something out of it, that wasn't there, but this is a complete fabrication.  I never "admitted" any such thing.  First off, I did not "beat women."  That is a nice bit of exaggeration  of the sort that sleaze like Williams love.  But to then go on and claim I said it made me feel better...that is over the top.  

Then, he goes on to add even more twisting and lies....

Whatever personality disorder makes someone beat a woman because it makes them feel better and then really believes that it’s somehow normal seems to be the same issue that drives GM and Nicky. They both enjoy trying to cause others pain because it makes them feel good. It’s what they do and if they have to just make shit up in the hopes that it hurts someone, they’ll happily do it.

Again, it did not beat anyone.  Second, it did not make me feel better.  And I certainly never said it was normal.  Then again, if Mr. Williams did encounter something that was "normal," he would attack it.  Normalcy is the one thing he really hates.  As to the rest of what he says here, well, that sounds like he is describing what he is doing by posting such lies.

The Mr. Williams goes on to add this...

That last is in response to a remark about Cathy Brennan blocking me from following her that I made right after I joined Twitter, and had no real understanding of the culture surrounding that particular system.  A bit naive, but then this is, Mr. Williams, who will twist any fact until it is unrecognizable.  I said nothing about her being my "friend."  Shoot, I allow pretty much anyone to follow me on Twitter.  I even allowed Mr. Williams to do so, and would still do so.  I consider Twitter to be sort of like a blog.  Anyone can read what I say here.  Then again, Mr. Williams, being a very controlling man, would probably not understand that.  For pretty much the same reason, I approved any post that does not violate on very simple rule.  I have blocked two lately, one from Mr. Williams, and one from Mr. Taylor. In both cases, I explained why.  Mr. Williams heavily censors his blog, and do most transgender extremists.  It's the only way they can lie and not have people expose it directly.

So, we have Mr. Williams, a man who lies with impunity, and Mr. Taylor, another man who thinks lesbians should be forced to have sex with men they don't want to.  And they wonder why the radfems hate them, and I don't want to be associated with them.  Boy, clueless doesn't begin to do them justice.  

And one final thought, do seem awfully obsessed with me, even while they try to dismiss me as insignificant.  I don't care.  My blog is not ego-driven like theirs are.  Maybe I am insignificant, but they don't seem to think so...

And the Clue-Meter is Pegged on Dead Zero

Another day, another update on the continue saga of Mr. "Dana" Taylor's death spiral into absurdity...

Yesterday, Mr. Taylor posted a comment concerning a person who comments here, and number of other places, on Gender Trender.  Not only was this comment completely off-topic (the article it was posted to was about an excruciatingly bad vocal performance by some kook singing about how the New York Senate should pass GENDA.  I suspect it is more likely to cause them to pass a ban on torturing people with truly awful videos.  It is tempting to say it falls into the "so bad, it's good" category, as it is laughable, but no....this video is just excruciatingly horrid.  But I digress...

Mr. Taylor did not, unsurprisingly, get the response he expected.  Instead, he pretty much was made to look like a fool.  Not that he is likely to realize that.

Gallus Mag responded:

Dana, your hobby is ingesting massive quantities of synthetic female hormones so that you can expel a form of male breast milk from your moobs which you then post pictures of on your blog. I don’t think you are in a good position to call out another man for “perversion”.

And that was followed by a picture of Mr. Taylor's blog page, complete with the infamous photo of his trophy milk.  Now, anyone with sense would have slinked off in shame, but not Mr. Taylor....  He came back with...

So you excuse actual sexism? Okay…good on you. Thanks for sharing my photo.

I almost feel sorry for Mr. Taylor...is he really that arrogant?  And again, he said...

Gallus is okay with Nicky’s sexism.  Thanks.

No, that is not what was said at all.  What was said was, "I don’t think you are in a good position to call out another man for “perversion”.  Big difference, but totally lost on Mr. Taylor.  

If that wasn't enough to get across to Mr. Taylor that maybe he had made, shall we say, a major strategic blunder, you would think this would:

No, someone with a shred of intelligence would realize they were licked at this point.  But, not Mr. Taylor.  He was back this morning with yet another clueless post on his website:

There are several points this pervert needs to grasp...

1. No one is obsessed with his moobs...
2. We are simply using him has the poster boy for transgender idiocy and perversion.
3. Trying to cover your...uh, posterior, is only making your look every sillier.  
4. Those are tears, except, perhaps, from laughing so hard.

BTW, look closely at how he worded that.  After having made an effort to produce milk, and having spend a ridiculous amount of money for a toy (men...boys....toys, you know the old line), he goes back and tries to find something to try to hide his perversion behind.  He didn't know this before, and makes that clear, but tries to now act like this is why he did this.  I mean, really, this is hilarious.

And, in the final bit of cluelessness, the crowning touch, if you will...I have to say, he picked the perfect website.  They have a section on Male Breast Enlargement.  And that is their words, not mine.  No "Trans Woman Breast Development, or something else like that, but what it really is, breast development for men who want to indulge in fetishistic fantasies.  They certainly know their audience:

Just WHAT is Mr. "Cristan" Williams So Afraid Of?

I just noticed where Mr. "Cristan" Williams is bragging over on Transadvocate about how he got a radfem bounced from Twitter and also had her blog shut down.  In fact, Mr. Williams devotes a major about of his time towards trying to silence anyone who disagrees with him.  And on top of that, he posted his little trophy under "humor."  I guess he thinks letting women know who's boss is funny to him.

In fact, trying to silence anyone who dares disagree with him seems to be a major endeavor of Mr. Williams.  He maintains tight control over who can post replies on his blog.  When I first encountered him, I got into a debate with him on his personal blog, and I quickly realized that he is extremely intellectually dishonest.  He tried, repeatedly, to use logical fallacies, and dishonest debating techniques to narrowly define the parameters of the debate to his advantage.  I refused to allow him that control, and he quickly banned me.  He then posted about "the Jennifer Shuffle," his mocking term for my refusal to allow him a dishonest upper hand.

He has been both dishonest, and quite vicious in his ad hominem attacks on opponents.  His ongoing war against Victoria Brownworth, and other women who do not share his rather absurd opinions.  Mr. Williams is on a crusade to crush this source of dissent from the transgender idiocy.  Ironically, his approach is remarkably similar to one of the cartoons from the website he gloats about that was removed.  Men accusing women of making up rapes, or in this case, threats of rape.

And given any opportunity, he will resort to the most vicious, and dishonest, of ad hominem attacks.  If he finds the slightest flaw, it suddenly becomes a major defect.  Even if that flaw is a figment of his imagination.  Or, perhaps, something manufactured to provide a basis for a lie.

But just as striking as the viciousness shown to his opponents is, something else is equally striking...the absence of any logical arguments.  Oh, Mr. Williams will carry on for days when someone declines to be suckered into one of his dishonest debating forums.  No one with a shred of sense would agree to that.  But Mr. Williams will only debate when he controls the forum.

So, what is the bottom line here?  It brings us back to the original question...what is Mr. Williams so afraid of?  Why does he work so hard at misdirection?  Could it be that the truth is the one thing he fears?

Like how he totally rejects the concept of male privilege, but then invents an imaginary "cis privilege" which he throws out every chance he gets?  Sort of a red herring, one might say.  Or how he is so quick to claim that Victoria Brownworth has filed a false report against him, but he encourages others to do exactly that.  Not, of course, that he would be stupid enough to risk it...but he hopes someone will do his dirty work for him.  

Transadvocate, the website he is now editor of, has numerous examples of his approach.  In the past three months, he has obsessed over what he terms "TERFs" or Trans Exclusive Radical Feminists.  He has devoted article after article, not to actually refuting their logic, but to tossing ad hominem on top of ad hominem in an attempt to bully them into silence.

And when Mr. Williams does attempt to make an argument, it is pretty much inevitably a miss-mash of several logical fallacies.  From straw men, to the bandwagon fallacy, he pretty much runs the gamut.  He cherry picks his authorities, and jumps at a false cause.

Oh well, I guess when you are defending the indefensible, you don't have much else you can use.

Update:  Wow, the "ink" wasn't even dry on this post before Mr. Williams did it again...

In a headline article titled The TERF Empire Declares War Against Trans People Mr. Williams cranks up the rhetoric and rolls out a number of logical fallacies.  This, uh, "declaration of war" is actually a rather well written letter sent to Mr. Dallas Denny (no need to put his name in quotes since that is his male, birth name.  The last I heard, the middle name is still Henry.) that points out a pretty solid strategy for dealing with the task of "...questioning transgender as a valid political movement..."  

So, what horrible crimes do these war-declaring, uh, TERFs, plan?  Well, here is an example:

Ideologically, as educators and women, some feminist, others not, we see the classroom as an open space designed for the investigation of controversial ideas and a forum to embrace our commitment equally to academic freedom, women’s rights and free expression. Our students deserve no less from us. These freedoms that we exercise (even if it really pisses you off) are above all sacred. But so too is teaching, and helping students to make sense of what is going on in the world. We highly doubt any student is so profoundly unsophisticated or uncritical as to accept the canard of hate speech that you attempt to make. Students know bulls**t when it presented. These undergraduates will arrive at more honest and apt conclusions simply by drawing facts into the conversation. In other words you do not get an opportunity to lie like a rug on our watch. We will dismantle the basic claim of “transgender” oppression. Once exposed the list of fraudulent claims that follow falls apart.

Wow!  No wonder Mr. Williams is so furious...  They are doing the one thing he fears...exposing his claims to the light.  Ah, but it get's even better:

In the classroom the first order of the day will confront the ever ubiquitous over used manipulative claim of “transphobia”—which sounds hollow when students see that the primary victims are natal women who happen to hold opinions and write things that you and others do not happen to like. Again we will address, why? The claim of transphobia, once undressed and parsed is revealed as a bullying and shaming tactic used specifically against natal women. A point-by-point analysis of all the false analogies will speak to the ever-worsening manipulations of a misogynistic movement. The classroom will be a platform to pursue truth, and students will have opportunities to check facts and question the use of statistics and finally realize that movements lie and some are bigger bulls**t masters than others.

I had intended to mention how Mr. Williams trots out "transphobia" ever time someone disagrees with him, but I forgot to.  But, they didn't. 

Oh, and this part is also quite good:

We are not using anything by which any our identities are accessible to you or any other person that has demonstrated a past inclination and criminal like pathology to threaten or slander women. You both have demonstrated this pathology clearly. This is not only a logistical decision; the choice is made in consideration of our physical safety—yes “die cis scum” has a kind of scary ring to it. Simply put, we’re “stealth”. We’re confident that you realize this piece of correspondence is not meant in anyway to be interpreted as part of dialogue. It is meant to let you know that you just secured Sheila Jeffreys another generation and your attempts to censor her are a case study in: the reach exceeds the grasp. By the time we are done the transgender movement and those names attached will be more accurately seen as like carnival hucksters and boss man thugs and Sheila Jeffreys will drop a note on personal stationary thanking you for the spike in sales.

I can't say as how I blame them at all.  Both Mr. Denny, and Mr. Williams can be rather scary. They both seem too smart to actually be linked to a threat, but they are more than willing to have an anonymous cohort do it for them.

You can read the entire letter here.  And you really should.  Read it, and read Mr. Williams' totally absurd article that makes it sound like the, uh, TERFs are planning a lynching party or something.  

A funny thought...  Mr. Williams has put a lot of effort into having the, uh, TERFs, declared a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.  Read the letter, and imagine that this was the sort of tactic used by, oh, say...the Ku Klux Klan, or other, REAL hate groups.  I don't know about you, but I think if they did, the world would be a much kinder, and gentler, place.

 

Racist AND Misogynistic

Well, it appears that Mr. "Monica" Roberts, everyone's favorite racist hates women as much as he hates white folk. He has posted a diatribe where he actually tries to justify the violence spewed by boys in dresses like Mr. "Cristan" Williams, and Mr. "Autumn" Sandeen. 

What he doesn't get is that radical feminist reacted to the invasion of women's spaces by pseudo-transsexuals like him, who want to wave their penises, whoops, I mean, 9 inch neoclits around and tell them girls how they are just as much women as they are.  

The problem is, men like Mr. Roberts, Mr. Sandeen, and Mr. Williams don't want to be women, they want to be trans women. They want to to have it all. They don't have a woman's soul, they just want wear women's clothes and self-denigrate themselves. 

It's always funny how their idea of "really" being a woman involves claiming to have been raped or sexually harassed. I guess that says a lot about how they really see women. 

I have knows for Mr. Roberts...women know male violence. They have been victims for a lot longer than he has been pretending to be a woman.  If he really was a woman, he would be a lot more sensitive to the feelings of those he claims to be one of. 

Mr. Williams' War on Women

Well, the man who wants to be the world's leading gender fascist continues his war on women.  I do not, repeat, do not agree with a lot of the extremism that comes from the Radical Feminists, but when I see the sort of crap that Mr. "Cristan" Williams is trying to pull, it actually makes me feel sorry for them.  Williams apparently has no clue as to how he comes across, or more likely, just doesn't care.

It started when, born of his anger that Victoria Brownworth does not support the right of men who claim to be women to force themselves on the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival.  Williams is also heavily involved in the "Cotton Ceiling" silliness, where "male lesbians" attempt to demand that real lesbians must have sex with them.  They cannot seem to accept the pretty much absolute right of someone to decline another as a sexual partner.  This really does begin to come very close to rape.

Well, Williams dug up a five year old article Brownworth did about pumping parties, which mentioned a young FTM, including the appearance of his genitals. Williams tried to accuse Brownworth of pedophilia and went so far as to contact authorities in an attempt to have charges filed.  Since then, Brownworth has alleged that she has been subjected to threats of violence and rape.  

Now, there is no way of easily ascertaining if Brownworth's allegations are true, but Mr. Williams' claims have been pretty much laughed away by everyone he has contacted.  If Brownworth's allegations are true, and it is very probably that they are, it would not be unreasonable to suspect that Williams might be responsible.  That does not mean that he is, just that he would be a reasonable suspect.

Williams now claims to have contacted the police and is alleging that statements by Brownworth, that she has contacted the police, are not true.  It should be noted that what he has specifically claimed is that a police report has not been filed against him.  While Brownworth did allude to Williams when mentioning filing a report, in reality, under such circumstances, unless Brownworth can show, objectively, that Williams is the culprit, the police would not have a report that "names" Williams.  Further, while the police might tell someone that they do not have a specific report on them (as in, no we are not looking to request you be arrested at this time) that does not mean that a report has not been filed.  Williams considers himself a master of spin, and this would not be the first time he has, in effect, lied like a cheap rug.  

I do know Mr. Williams can be quite obsessive about those he sees as an enemy.  He has very little respect for boundaries, unless he is the one setting them.  His behavior in this matter is outrageous, and his contempt for real women is highly disturbing.  And he actually wonders why transsexuals want no part of his little "movement."

Well, I guess it should not come as a surprise, but Mr. "Cristan" Williams has posted another blatant lie on Transadvocate.  And not also not surprising is that it is targeted at "TERFs," his favorite term for Trans Exclusive Radical Feminists.  This time around, it is the form of a cartoon that claims that they are blaming "transgender people" for any violence inflicted on them.

The cartoon shows a highly insulting caricature of a rather butch looking female pointing at the grave of Angie Zapata.  Ironically, that is the murder case that resulted in the former editor of Transadvocate exposing Mr. "Autumn" Sandeen's rather atrocious behavior during the coverage of the trial.  I should add, it appears that one of the articles linked to in Abernathy's article has been removed from Pam's House Blend, but that is why we can be thankful for the Internet Archive, also known as the Way Back Machine.

Anyway, the cartoon completely distorts what has been said, which is simply the truth.  When someone who is transgender is murdered, it is usually because of homophobia, not "transphobia."  In fact, with the possible example of Brandon Teena, I cannot think of a single case where such a claim would be valid.  And, as Mr. Williams, and the rather silly cartoonist, try to avoid, homophobia is pretty much male violence, and it is most certainly not something that can be validly referred to as "transphobia,"  

Not that Mr. Williams ever shows much regard for the truth.

True Colors

Sometimes you just have to have a good laugh at transgender extremists who don't have a clue how they really come across, or who try to make excuses if they do get a clue.  The latest, and greatest such example is "Autumn" Sandeen.  Yes, I write a lot about Mr. Sandeen, but dog gone it, he is just the gift that keeps on giving.  He is the poster boy for transgender cluelessness.  And he very often shows his "true colors" as they say...

I mean, I think, in Mr. Sandeen's mind, he sees himself as a perfect vision of feminine perfection.  In reality, he is a bad joke.  His clothing choices are laughable, he apparently has a serious hat fetish, and he really can't seem to grasp that his prancing around in a women's naval uniform is seen as a joke.

But his "apology" for acting exactly like what he really is, a man, is really just too much.  Here, from Cathy Brennan, in inescapable detail, is what Mr. Sandeen felt he needed to "apologize" for:

Now, call me a prude, but I admit, I modified some of the language.   I doubt it will take much imagination to figure out that the two missing letters are "uc" but unlike Mr. Sandeen, I don't care for such language.

Cathy Brennan sums it up very well:

Dear Transwomen: The whole “coward” thing is so, so, so Male… like… dude, you can’t punk Females… especially if they were not in the military where that kind of name calling constantly puts your Manhood in question. You are creepy.

I've actually been on the receiving end of that same sort of rhetoric.  Mr. "Cristan" Williams is actually engaged in EXACTLY what Mr. Sandeen is apologizing for, minus, perhaps the more salty language, but with the same attempts to "punk" Gallus Mag into a debate.  And on the EXACT SAME web site where Mr. Sandeen has posted his, uh, "apology."  And, it is a classic, lame excuse as is typical of a violent man...

I could make excuses about my behavior relating what was going on in my brick-and-mortar world that had nothing to do with GallusMag that were negatively impacting my life, as well as make excuses regarding how GallusMag’s and Cathy Brennan’s past behavior could justify my inappropriate language and behavior. But, I won’t. Basically, I just failed to live up to my own standards that I learned in reading the words of Martin Luther King Jr....

Yes, he "could" make excuses....and oh wait, he did... If he didn't want to hide behind such classic dodges as "I had a bad day..." and "You made me get angry..." then why even mention them at all?  As someone who grew up in a household with an abusive father, who caused my mother to have to seek medical treatment more than once, I have heard it all.  It was never "really" his fault.  It was, "I had a bad day at work..." or "You pushed, and pushed, and pushed...until I couldn't take it any more...."  I grew up worrying that the slightest thing might trigger him into explosive rage.  And yes, I was the target on occasion as well.

When Extremist Kooks Collide...

I've been kind of busy the last week or so...I had a major project I was involved in, and it took up quite a bit of my time, and besides, there hasn't been much of interest to write about.  I mean, after a while, it becomes kind of dreary just pointing out that kooks like "Autumn" Sandeen, or Suzan Cooke are posting the same repetitive dribble.  Cooke is still trying to relive her glory days as a radical wannabe from the Sixties, and Sandeen...well, he has spent the past week trumpeting the fact that he did something transsexuals have done for some time, actually, apparently lying and claiming he has pulled off some major victory as the first to get his idea changed.  Granted, Sandeen may be the first to fraudulently claim to have had SRS in order to effect such a change.

But one rather amusing bit has turned up on "Cristan" Williams' blog Ehipassiko, which is named for one of the six "supreme qualities" of the Teaching of the Buddha.  The idea is that one should come and see for their self, and put it to the test.  Of course, that is rather ironic, as Mr. Williams' blog is centered on him telling you what to believe, and attacking anyone who disagrees.

Anyway, Mr. Williams' latest obsession centers around what has come to be labeled "TERFs," and acronym for "Trans Exclusive Radical Feminists."  This is used to refer to the relatively tiny group of extremist lesbian-separatists who follow in the footsteps of Janice Raymond, who wrote the largely forgotten (except among the transgender kooks) book, "The Transsexual Empire."  Raymond's book falls into the category of kooky conspiracy theory, basically putting forward the idea that "transsexualism" is part of a conspiracy to subvert feminism and that transsexuals symbolically rape women's bodies by acquiring one of their own.  In short, it is the sort of silliness that might get some attention within a very small, very radical, dark corner of academia, but which would go largely unnoticed by most.

But for the transgender extremists, who insist that gender and sex are matters of choice, and can be switched about on a whim, the so-called "TERFs" are a major issue.  Apparently, it especially galls the "male lesbian" crowd that a group of extremist lesbians absolutely despise them.  

In this most recent post, we see Mr. Williams at his most boorishness.  In his typically macho style, he tries to goad his adversary, a radical feminist who uses the screen name GallusMag into debating him:

If you actually possesses the courage of your convictions, I’ll gladly public debate you live on a Google Hangout so that everyone can enjoy watching you display your own special view of reality. Let’s debate the criticisms that you’ve failed to actually address. If you feel that you need to advantage yourself by publicly hiding during the debate, you could always use an avatar on camera while I own my public words with my real identity. Debate me live so that all your supporters can watch you articulate your points in that very special way you’re known for. Be their champion, GallusMag.

But, Mr. Williams does not stop there....

Will you fail to live up to your supposed convictions and if so, I wonder what excuse you’ll use that will be most pleasing to your audience. Will you pretend that rejecting my challenge is the radically feminist to do because debates are somehow male-centric? Maybe you’ll say that you’re too offended by my open challenge. Maybe you’ll pretend that the reason you’re backing out is a lack of trust, logistics or any other reason you can think of that will allow you to save face while you abandon your supposed convictions. Maybe you’ll just pretend to ignore this debate challenge.

This is typical of Mr. Williams.  He loves to goad his opponents.  Of course, if they do give in, and agree to debate him, he then tries every dirty trick he can think of to advance his cause through logical fallacies.  In this case, he goes so far as to agree to not accuse his opponent of "hate" if they debate.  But I am sure he has plenty of other ad hominem attacks at the ready.

The real kicker is Mr.  Williams' little timer he is using to taunt:

So far, GallusMag has been ducking an honest debate about transgenderism for 2 days 2 minutes 25 seconds.

On Williams' site, it is slowly ticking away, in a silly, and rather childish attempt to bully GallusMag into a confrontation.  That is what makes Mr. Williams such a clown.  He actually seems to think this is how women act.  And then he complains when the radical feminists call him on his totally male behavior.  And it would be a miracle if Mr. Williams actually engaged in an honest debate.  He tends to pull out every dishonest logical fallacy in the book.

Seriously, only a man could come ups with something like:

My debate invitation will remain open to you. If at some point you work up the courage to stand firm upon your convictions and face me live (even if you have to hide behind an avatar to do it), I’ll be happy to allow you to prove just how clever you believe yourself to be. Think of it. You’ll get to hide behind a fake face and fake identity while publicly putting me in my place in front of a live audience – all while I’m forced to own my words, actions and views by publicly debating you live.

What have you got to lose, GallusMag? So, how about it?

Actually, Forcing People To Lie Is the REAL Issue

One of the more insane transgender bloggers, "Toni" D'orsay, aka Dyssonance, has a post up that sort of admits that the TG kooks are really, really obsessed with pronouns.  But what is really the issue is not pronouns, but is the ongoing obsession with forcing people to accept outright lies...  Like "women have penises" and "men can get pregnant."  I guess they would really be over the top if a "man" was made pregnant by a "woman."

Among the topics that Mr. D'Orsay hits on are:

• The Michigan Womyn's Music Festival (the boys in dresses won't be happy until they force their way in).
• Forcing women to accept men in the ladies room.
• Forcing states to change the sex birth certificates without the person actually having to change their sex. (as another blogger has pointed out, they hide behind "sterilization."

Then he goes on to push the current "transgender meme" about how the radfems are all about murdering "trans people."  Yes, some extremists kooks have made comments suggesting such, but extremist kooks are extremist kook.  The myth that Janice Raymond is responsible for the deaths of a large number of transsexuals (or even one, for that matter) has already been addressed.  This is a classic example of the sort of silliness that passes for "scholarship" in some circles.  You start out with a fact (Janice Raymond made some comments) and then extrapolate it into a conspiracy theory of epic proportions (Janice and the RadFems killed 50,000 people).  Mr. D'orsay is repeating this lie as fact.

He then goes on to make a statement that is at the heart of the transgender fallacy:

Other people do not get to police how one person’s existence is genuine or not. You do not get to decide if I am enough of a woman, or if I have “female energy”, or if I am the right sort or the proper kind.

It sounds great, doesn't it?  But let's consider the reality of it.  No, I don't allow people to define who, or what I am.  When I transitioned, and certain relatives tried to tell me I was not legitimate, I told them that I was not going to be responsible for their bigotry...but I also went on, an lived my life as a woman authentically not as a "transwoman," or any of the other things that transgender people call themselves.  Mr. D'orsay does not live as a woman, he lives as an out, loud, and pretty darned obnoxious transgender kook.  So, yes, people do get to decide that he is not a woman. "Enough of a woman," is another version of that transgender silliness that womanhood is quantifiable...very male concept at best.  One either is a woman, or one is not.  There is no such thing as a base unit of womanhood, that can be expressed as a measurement.  

Mr. D'orsay has thus to say:

The problem is people not thinking that trans people are what they really are. The problem is people policing trans people’s lives. The problem is f******g a**holes who call trans women men and male, and trans men women and female. 

IF you know someone who does that — no matter what their justifications are for it — you know someone who is actively contributing to the problem, who is part of it, and who is fighting against the solution.

Yes, exactly.  I am fighting Mr. D'orsay's absurd "solution" because, well, it is the real problem.  He, among others, is trying to destroy a major part of our society's structure, for no reason other than his own selfish desires.

Has Anyone Noticed How Much Like Joseph McCarthy the Transgender Kooks Sound?

It appears, in a style reminiscent of Joe McCarthy's pursuit of communists, that the transgender kooks are on the hunt for Trans-exclusive Radical Feminists, or TERFs, in LGBT organizations.

For example Transadvocate has an article by "Katrina Rose" and one by "Marti" Abernathy.

I have this mental image of Mr. "Cristan" Williams bug eyed, and yelling "Are you now, or have you ever been a TERF!

Given that they complain about how lesbian groups hunted down and purged transsexuals, this is sort of ironic.

Ah, once again a bunch of extremists prove true...

This Would Be Funny If It Were Not So Infuriating

Okay, I just saw a post on Transadvocate where Dana Taylor has decided to join the transgender side.  Now, it is, of course, one's right to choose how one views the world, and who one wishes to align oneself with.  For me to say otherwise would be hypocrisy.

But when I read the reason, "The Cotton Ceiling" I had to do a bit of checking.  I knew it had something to do with the whole rad fem versus trans kerfuffle.  But I was not sure of the details.

Here is what I found...

“…the Cotton Ceiling – with reference to knickers – is the term parts of the trans community have inventively adopted for the way that, however theoretically accepting of trans people a lot of progressives may be, when it comes to actually having sex with us, they vote with their …um…feet.”

In other words, it is about complaining because someone is exercising their basic human right to choose who, and who not, to have sex with.  Now, let me be clear on several things here.  Since I completed my transition, I have had sex with several men, none of whom knew my history.  It was none of their business.  Unlike the transgender crowd, I have no need to reveal my medical history in order to get my jollies.  Had someone known, and decided to decline, I might have had my feelings hurt, but I would have seen it as their right to make that decision.  Just as it is my right to decide, for example, if I want to date someone who is an FTM.  I have done so, but I don't know that I would always make that choice.  I had one post op friend who was almost stalked by a rather obnoxious FTM.  She did not want to date him, but for a while, he was almost comical in his pursuit of her... almost, but more creepy than funny.

But according to the "cotton ceiling" crowd, lesbians should be ashamed of making a choice that it is their right to make.  Taken to its logical extreme, and I have actually seen this done, straight men should have no right to turn down a "trans woman," in other words, quite possibly, a dude in a dress, who wants to go to be with him.  Now, I had a few dates before surgery and on occasion the guy did not know when we first met. I alway was careful how I revealed my, uh, situation in order to avoid any violence.  I don't believe such violence is warranted, nor do I believe the trans panic defense should be allowed.  I also think pre-op transsexuals as well as transgender men, should exercise caution to avoid being injured or worse, murdered.  But this cotton ceiling crap is just creepy.  If you feel the need to broadcast your history, people have a right to take it into consideration when deciding if they want you as a sexual partner.  There is a word for trying to deny someone the right to make a decision based on that knowledge.  It is called rape.  If a woman does not want to have sex with you because she does not believe you are an appropriate partner, whether that woman is of trans history or not (and I have known of trans women, who identified as lesbian, who also did not want to have sex with transgender men, but you insist they do not have that right, then hey Bro' you are proving, you da man!

If anyone wants a good example of the sort of behavior that lies behind my statement that I don't "misgender" transgender men, this is one of the best....  

In The Middle....

Well, first off, this post marks the 300th on this blog! It was just over a year ago, I posted the 200th, and now we are up by another hundred. Hmmm, I wonder if Mr. "Autumn" Sandeen will want to make another smart remark about that....for those who don't know, he has been whining about the amount I post...not the first man to claim a woman has too much to say.

Another big announcement....this blog now has a presence on Twitter. I am there as @_JustJennifer_. Feel free to follow me. And I should note, Sandeen has blocked me from following him. Oh well....that is easily gotten around....

Now, on to the topic at hand... I have stated many times that I am a moderate politically. I often joke that I am a member of the Radical Middle, the Far Center....that I am a Extreme Moderate. But it is, in many ways, more than a joke. I do take a very moderate approach to most issues. And I am often amused by the more extremist views that others take.

To start with an easy example...there is Suzan Cooke. Her politics are pretty much off the deep end on the Left. She seems to want to relive her "glory days" as a hanger-on with the Weather Underground. When someone is that far out there, it is hard to take them seriously. On gender issues, Cooke used to be closer to the center, but has recently become almost as extreme as Mr. Sandeen.

Now, Mr. Sandeen may not be the craziest, or the most radical, but he is pretty much a kook among kooks. He is, quite frankly, is the gift that keeps on giving. I am still laughing at the bit about he pounding the table and telling Cathy Brennan that he wanted to carry "his balls around in a jar..." As she told him, that is not female. I guess we should all be thankful that the rules do not allow doctors to return such items to patients. The world is safe from Mr. Sandeen's testicles...though his penis is apparently still at large.

Over on a blog called "Gender Trender," there is a rather amusing exchange between Mr. Sandeen and someone who posts as "Gallus Mag." Basically, he is trying to get this person to reveal her name to him, and she is trying to get him to understand that a woman might not want certain people, including a kook like him, having that sort of information. Sandeen has repeated shown that he is incapable of comprehending how women feel, and this is a perfect example. Towards the end of the exchange, he refers to Gallus Mag as a "girl," and she objects. Instead of acting in a mature manner, Sandeen tries to defend this very male condescension...

I call women “women”. You’re not brave; you’re not a grown-up. You are a girl, “girl”, b/c you’re a hit and run coward. Seriously, not even brave enough to email me? Truly a height of effeminacy—a brave feminist you just ain’t. L and G done with us?

This, as much as anything, shows how male his brain is. What an incredible bit of drivel, from someone who is not only a man, but more than a bit of chauvinistic pig at that. Oh, and a clue for Mr. Sandeen....he should look up the definition of effeminate...

Hmmm, "of a man." And Sandeen is tossing that insult at a woman. Yeah, talk about completely clueless. I suppose one could call Sandeen, "effeminate," and technically, that is what he is, but only in the sense that he is a very bad caricature of a woman. Sort of in the vein of various comedians who have dressed up and minced around in what many women would consider to be a highly insulting parody. Except he thinks he is actually fooling people.

On the opposite side of the coin, you have this mostly excellent response to Mr. Sandeen from Marie-France Lease

If you were an actual, authentic female, you’d be nodding along with me and thinking, “Truth.” For us, it’s not a game. It’s not an achievement. It’s not a contest. Most of this I can honestly relate to. I don't buy into the "Goddess" stuff, and shoot, when I was in my mother's womb, they didn't have ultrasound...but yes, I understand whshe is saying, and I know, just as well, that it is all lost on kooks like Sandeen.

Another,Becky Green had this to say....

You’re a man with a man’s height, body frame and a man’s rage. You have an imposing figure and no woman could physically beat you. Who’s to say you won’t start stalking Gallus in person or that you won’t show up at her door and pummel her unconscious? A bit heavy handed, but in Mr. Sandeen's case, still dead on.  Granted, some women are tall, have a heavier frame, and can exhibit some serious rage.  But, given what has been said about Mr. Sandeen, by himself, and others, this is pretty dead-on.  He himself has bragged about having a fit of rage because he was called a man.  There is a lot of overlap between men in women in terms of size, so this is a bit extremist.

Then, into this argument, a voice of reason appears... Cassandraspeaks has this to say...

If anyone needs a piece of paper to prove their sex they certainly are NOT that sex. The men like Autumn Sandeen are an insult of the worst order. He is everything GM says he is and more. The list of those like him is as long as your arm. I’ve been fighting those like Sandeen in a verbal and philosophical war for over 25 years. They take advantage of the ignorance about what transsexuality really is in order to obtain their own perverted desires. Good luck in dealing with this freak.

Cassandra is a transsexual, and one would hope that this would add some balance to this discussion, but now we see the other side of the extremist coin rear its ugly head...  someone calling herself, Cynical Cynthia tosses this out...

Yes, Cassandra, your definitions of this arbitrary concept are the most correctest ever; menzes like Sandeen will never understand. You, because of the things you say and think about the arbitrary concept of transsexualism, are completely different to him.

Now, if she had only stopped there, we would have reached a good middle ground.  We could come together, shake hands, and join forces to defend women...  Sadly, she continues with this silliness...

*yawn* – Same shit, different day. Females have vaginas and give birth; males have penises and fertilise eggs which causes females to get pregnant and give birth. Your thoughts on arbitrary principles or identification with either sex will not make you a member of that sex no matter how different you supposedly are to Mr Sandeen. At least, I imagine that your supreme ideas have not given you ovaries, fallopian tubes and a uterus with which to give birth, but do correct me if I am wrong.

What a nasty thing to say, not just because of transsexuals, but because a small, but not non-zero group of women are born without uteruses, fallopian tubes, or ovaries.  They are still women, in many cases, of XX phenotype, but with some other condition.  I can understand that, and can certainly relate to them.  Other women lose these things to disease.  And they grieve for their loss.  Men like Sandeen could care less.  Some of use actually do feel a sense of real loss for what we, sadly, never had, and never will.  I have heard similar remarks from some transgender creeps, but hearing such a flippant remark, from a woman, is just nasty.  

But here we get into the realm of the more extreme of the radical feminists.  Here a person recognizes that someone actually gets it, but then, purely on ideological grounds, turns a deaf ear.  Cynical Cynthia effectively says, "Hey, your right, your different, but I am going to stop thinking because I have to stay true to a point of view that say I have to reject anything you say."  How absurd.

This is at the heart of the radical feminist's arguments with transsexuals.  While they are quite accurate in their assessment of the transgender crowd, which for the most part act like men, they have to fall back on ideology when faced with transsexuals.  Someone like Sandeen is easily dismissed as the man he is.  He makes it oh, so easy.  He waves his paperwork and say "I am a woman," and everyone pretty much laughs and says "Nope, you're not..."  He flounces around in a ridiculous outfit that no real women would wear and says, "Hey, don't you just love #girlslikeus," and everyone sort of snickers, and he gets mad and makes threats.  He chains himself to the White House fence, and says, "I am like Martin Luther King, Jr.," and every grimaces and says, "Well, only in the sense you both were men..."

But, they attack transsexuals on very theoretical basis, claiming that gender is a "social construct," and dismissing legitimate brain studies by lying about them...a tactic that has also been used by some transgender types who know that such studies expose them for the frauds they are.  They make claims like biology is destiny, while effectively denying the only basis on which such a claim can be made.

The radical feminist view is based on the notion that gender is all about socialization, which is, often the same idea claimed by feminists.  We are supposed to believe that it is all about how we are raised.  In the radical feminist view, children born with a penis are raised to be men, and told all the things that seem to come to men so naturally.  And yet, they ignore the fact that even when parents try to raise their children more neutrally, they still exhibit gender typical behavior.  Parents who try to raise their boys to be more gentle are shocked when things don't work out as they expect.  Try to raise a girl to be more masculine, and she might shock you.  And do they really think that they can just ignore situations like mine, where my father made very effort to "beat and/or shame the sissy out of me?"  Now, sure, someone like Sandeen, who spent twenty years in the military, proudly, and successfully serving, as a man, in a very male environment, before, as he neared the time he would retire, only then began to show some signs of what was to come.  Sandeen is a typical of the sort of man who hides a fetish for a long time, and then has it come out late in life.  He is able to easily assimilate as a male, before finally deciding he is going to enjoy his little hobby. 

 I, on the other hand, like many, never fit in as a man.  I always stood out.  I was seen, as I have said, as a "defective male."  I was like the classic comedy trope...the woman who dresses up as a man, to infiltrate some group of men, and who is either immediately spotted, and subjected to  playful torment, or for even more laughs, initially succeeds in her disguise, but keeps slipping up, creating more and more humor.  In short, I stuck out like a sore thumb, and often had people people comment on that fact.  I learned to laugh it off, but I knew people wondered what was going on.

On a website called Transgender Tropes, which sets out to refute said "tropes," there is this comment:

“Transgenderism is based on the idea that gender traits, characteristics, emotions and behaviors ARE inherently tied to one’s biological sex (Biology IS destiny), and they seek to reconcile their own diversity from gender norms by altering their biology to match the traits they view as incongruent with their physical sex. This is actually a REVERSAL of the idea that biology isn’t destiny. What they are saying is that gender IS biologically determined. And if they fail to conform to sex based gender norms they must alter their biology as much as possible to at least conform cosmetically to their gender essentialist beliefs. This is opposite to the idea of transgressing biological imperative (nature) with socialization and free will (nurture).”

Actually, this is rather odd, and quite inaccurate statement.  First off, it is not remotely accurate to attribute this to the transgender crowd.  They tend to claim that sex and what they call gender, are so separate as to be completely unrelated.  In fact, they often claim that gender is, effectively not only a choice, but is almost a mood.  That one can be a woman one day, and a man the next, and perhaps even none of the above on yet another day.  And that each whim must be accepted as totally and equally valid.

Ironically, even as the radical feminist reject the idea of "brain sex" (as, ironically do many of the more radical transgender extremists) they actually seem to adhere to exactly such an idea with a tenacity that matches that of some among the religious right.  And, in complete ignorance of scientific studies that show otherwise.

Of course, for the transgender crowd, it is really all about the trappings.  Like most women, I enjoy getting dressed up for certain occasions.  But, day to day, I dress like, well like what I am, a geeky woman.  Most days that means what I guess you would call "mom jeans," a t-shirt (unisex, since I kind of like them loose) with something clever on it (One of my favorites says "There are 10 kind of people in the world, those who understand binary, and those who don't.") , flats or sneakers, no jewelry, and no make up.  I don't need to dress like Barbara Billingsley in Leave it to Beaver in order to "feel like a woman."  Someone, who was quite transgender, once commented that I dressed like a house wife.  He meant it as a bit of a correction.  I took it as a complement.  Then again, one of my best friends, who is a born woman, is never seen in anything but a skirt.  I used to dress that way more, but I was also working in a an office.  BTW, I don't know if she knows my history or not, but she has never brought it up, and even if she does know, she treats me as a woman.  In fact, I had a doctor a few years ago, who would occasionally make some comment, and realize she had actually forgotten my history, catch herself, and then realize that oh, yeah, it really didn't matter.  

I have, or had, a cousin who well, I have often wondered if she was possibly transsexual.  She was very masculine, always preferred things like cars, and ham radio to the things her mother would have preferred.  She generally dressed in what certainly looked like men's clothes, and she never married.  I don't know if she was a closeted lesbian, or simply repressed her feelings.  She lived in a time, and place, where being a lesbian would not have been acceptable.  I have lost touch with her.  I imagine she has heard about me, and it would be interesting to find out her reaction.  Most of that part of my family has effectively disowned me.  At least as far as I know.  The last time I saw her was at the 70th anniversary of one an aunt and uncle of ours.  She was there, in a dress, looking quite odd.  At the 75th, I was told I would not be welcome after informing people of my transition.  Not long after than, both that aunt and uncle had died.  I haven't had contact with any of them since.  But, I digress...

What I honestly wish the radical feminist could accept is that, yes, one is born a woman, but that what makes one a woman really is in the brain, and it really is determined by hormone levels during development, and that yes, something can go wrong.  In a sense, they do accept transsexual women.  Many of us simply do not wish to be "out, loud, and proud."  We don't wear our histories on our sleeve, and we don't tell people our past, and, perhaps this might surprise some of the radical feminists, they would never guess.  The vast, overwhelming majority of my friends in the real world are what they would call "women born women."  I have friends who are straight, and I have friends who are lesbians.  Some know my past, most don't.  I interact with them, and I am accepted by them, as a woman.  I live as stealth as possible.  If I did not love San Francisco so much, and if I did not have such good friends here, I would possibly consider relocating somewhere and starting over...again.  I lived for a year in small town, where literally no one knew.  It was heaven, but it did not last for reasons that had nothing to do with being transsexual, and I wound up moving 2,000 miles to San Francisco.  To most people who know me, I am simply a very smart, very geeky, middle aged woman.  I have nothing to do with the transgender community.  I occasionally will see someone I know from when I did outreach work, a job I stumbled into somewhat by accident, but which paid reasonably well, and had good benefits.  As soon as possible, I moved to a position that had little to do with the transgender community.  It paid even better, but unfortunately, like a lot of government-funded research work, funding dries up, and you end up being cut.  So, shortly afterwards, was my boss.  I have moved on, and I am in a completely different field.  And no, it really isn't anyone's business.

My point in all this is, we need to find a middle ground.  There are people who actually do have a medical condition that is known, for want of a better term, as transsexualism.  They are rare.  Sandeen and that ilk, are not transsexuals.  They are a lot more people who get off on dressing up and pretending.  As long as they don't cause harm, who cares?  But they really need to learn their limits.  Invading women's space is causing harm, and they need to either voluntarily stop it, or they need to be stopped.  They have a choice.  Transsexuals don't.  They should not receive special rights, and yes, things like access to women's spaces, and being allowed to change their birth certificates while keeping their penises are special rights.

It is time to return some sanity to this whole mess.  It is not likely to happen easily, but I do suspect it will eventually happen.  They are pushing for too much, and the backlash is beginning.  And all the while, I will be here, in the middle, watching it all, and doing what I can to help restore a least some reason before it is too late.
